The Evansville Community School District provides an Early Childhood program for children 3-5 years of age who qualify for special education services. Anyone with knowledge of the child may make a referral if they suspect the child has developmental delays in any of the following areas:
speech/language
fine or gross motor
cognitive
social/emotional
adaptive functioning
Services are provided in many different locations based on the least restrictive environment for the child.
The child will be evaluated and a meeting will be held to share and discuss the results with the family. A child must meet the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction Special Education Criteria to qualify and receive services through the District Early Childhood program.
